Starting in 2018, business crackdowns started to appear to be part of China's political landscape. Do they signify an end of the "opening up and reform" era? 

In this lecture, Professor Chang-Tai Hsieh will walk us through the challenges posed by business crackdowns, what China is trying to accomplish, and how this is likely to evolve in the future.
